Do you HAVE to now use the VFS Global Service for spouse visas?

Post by Jhelumi » Tue Apr 30, 2019 10:19 am

Hello,

For spouse visas from Pakistan, Is the self upload of the documentation at a VFS Global branch a must or can the UK sponsorer still send documentation to Sheffield to be processed? Or is VFS Global Service only applies to priority visas?

To start with - VFS is UKVI's commercial partner

I do not think VFS has self-upload option. I did not find self-upload option whilst processing/submitting the application on VFS website rather if I remember correctly, you can take your documents on the day of the appointment and they will scan and upload free of charge. If you do not take your documents on the day, they will then charge you to scan and upload at a later stage.

If you are yet to submit your application I suggest you use the new service where you can do it all yourself, I also have noticed that new service is much quicker as a lot of users here have received quicker responses. that is only my observation though.

Since when did this become compulsory?
