Hi,

I am trying to claim housing benefits for a few weeks while I await my residence card.

I am claiming as an extended family member. Can housing reject me from housing benefits?

My son is british. I know they want me to consider myself as the non EEA parent of a British child and thus get no recourse to public funds, but I don't see how they can deny me from exercising treaty rights as the extended family member of an EEA national?

Any thoughts?

Thanks
