But if you are a visa national then it would be different story as country where you board from the air line won't let you get in.
So it's useless what UK law says because you won't able to arrive in the UK lands anyway.

Hello everyone!

I have been following the timelines on this forum for quite some time...discreetly.

I have received my RC today. This forum has helped me predict my timeline accurately and I would like to share it here.
I really did not care about my RC, I just wanted my passport back as I felt imprisoned here

We are booking our flights now for a week long holiday.

Application sent: 15th January
COA: dated 23rd January
RC received: 22nd May. RC dated: 18th May

I was a Tier 4 student. 3 postgrad degrees from the UK. Pakistani National married to Austrian National.

Best of luck everyone and I hope all genuine applicants receive their RC soon.

TC

RC -Waiting

I had a visit 2 weeks ago, two officers came and my wife attended them as i was out for my class (part time qualification course). They checked our room(wardrobe, toothbrush and letters). They asked few questions to my wife about me and my family which she answered well. They asked my mom's name to her which she couldnt reply cos of typical asian name so she said i dont remember.
2) They asked about me that where i am? and she said he has gone to school and she couldnt answer very well because she doesnt know much about my course.
3)They asked her to show wedding pictures which was in ipad and was locked-----so again she tried but couldnt show, however she apologised and said that its in my ipad but its not working moreover we have already sent our pictures to the home office with questionnaire. They said OK
4)they asked which college do i go for my course? so she wasnt very sure but she showed them few course papers to give them an idea that what course i m doing.
They stayed for 10 mins and went back without mentioning anything more about me!!
They inquired about the other members in house,i havnt heard heard anything yet.
I am worried that is it a positive sign ? or what else it can be?
Guys need your advise on that, please reply when u can, bit worried now :( .

Many Thanks
Saim

Congratulations.

You give me hope :) Mine is from the 19th Jan
I was hoping you were posting to say you had received your RC inna.p since I applied the same day as you... :-) I tried calling today and they said mine was still "under process" - these last few weeks have been killer with all the waiting and seeing everyone else get theirs.
They must have decided right after I called on Wednesday because I just received my RC today (dated the 20/5). Full time line in signature.

Got everything back in the special delivery envelope I included with my application.

We sent:
Application
Marriage Certificate
Husband's job contract and offer letter
2 x husband's payslips
Lease (Signed by both of us)
Husband's HMRC tax reference letter
Council tax bill (In husband's name)
Utilities bill (in my name)
Bank statement for our joint account

That's it :-)

Good luck to those that are still waiting!

COA is a Certificate of Application, a document which certifies that you have applied for the said document on a particular date and how long it will take to take a decision. Additionally, it confirms your current rights. It should be issued to everyone who has applied for a residence document under the EU and EEA law regardless of their immigration status.

COAs can take up to 4 weeks to issue after enrolling your biometrics so it will be with you soon.

Interesting, I did not receive a letter asking for biometrics at all, even when they got my application after the 6th April, well, I guess I will be receiving the PR on a A piece of paper after all.
Timeline:
Fourth application sent 21.07.17
HO received 24.07.17
Paid on 25.07.17
Biometrics 23.08.17
COA received 07.09.17
Passports received 07.09.16
Status: Decided on 10.11.17
Documents returned 13.11.17 dated 09
RC 13.11.17 dated 09

You won't receive it because you applied on 3rd or 4th . The posting date matters so chill out you applied before bio metrics came into play...

Just small update. Requested EEA nationals passport back in 14th of May, due planned holidays on 22nd of June. Was worried that HO will not decide till then. Passport is not received yet.

Hi all, I found a really cheap ticket to have a week trip to my home country (and i really need one feeling so homesick these days), I secured the same price for 12 days which will expire on 6th June so have to buy the actual tickets by that day. Do you guys think that I will be able to get my RC till then (applied on 28 Jan) ? Or if not my travel date will be 8th July do you think I should risk my money and buy the tickets and wait until beginning of the July ? I know that it is a bit silly question to ask but just wanted to get some opinions..
