Hello All,

Any info would help.

I have applied through FLR (M). Please see dates below:

27/04/16 : Application Sent
19/05/2016: Letter received confirming receipt
24/05/2016: received letter for biometrics along with letter saying payment was not made due to wrong details.
25/05/2016: Biometrics done & resent cheque payment

Is any one in the same situation or has any one been in this situation before? please advise on how long it took to hear back from UKBA.

Gracious Lord!, another letter requesting for originals of bank statements for 6 months from me the sponsor of my wife and son.
Hope this would be the last before approval of their visas.
It's been 3 requests now since we submitted in March 2016.

18 weeks and still being told to continue waiting. I wonder why they asked if any of us have clinical depression during the interview, now I realise it's just to see how far they can take before they make a decision before we completely lose it. My advice for anyone applying in the further to go for the premium service, this mental torture isn't worth saving a few hundreds

Hello all,

This forum has been really useful. Just thought to post my timeline in case this might be of help to anyone. This is my 2nd period of FLR in the UK after an initial period of 33months:

Submitted application (Special delivery) - 5th May 2016
Application received - 6th May 2016
Acknowledgement letter sent -10th May 2016
Application Fee deducted - 9th May, processed on the 10th

Received another letter on Friday 13th May 2016 (dated 11th) requesting for biometrics
Also enclosed was another letter stating I has filled out the wrong version of the form, which was really confusing, because I was sure that I printed out the right version, only to check and realize that the form was updated on the 4th and then on the 18th of April (who does that???? only the UKVI :|) and I had printed out the form after the 4th of April, filled it and sent it a month after without realizing the form had been updated.

Anyways, printed out the latest version, filled it out and sent it off (special delivery) first thing on the 16th, which was received on the 17th of May

Also sent off biometrics on the 14th May

Received another letter on 28th of May, requesting for a letter from both me and my partner's employers stating our current positions, period of employment, salary earned. They also stated that they need to make a decision as "promptly" as possible and the documents should be sent by the 9th of June. Also included was the direct case worker's address. I had only included payslips and bank statements as proof of myself and my partner's employment and pay in the initial application, but I guess this did not suffice.

Sent off additional information on 1st June (special delivery) received on 2nd of June.

Approval letter and document were returned on the 3rd June and I received them on the 6th June.

BRP - Received just now! 7th June 2016 12:09pm

All in all, it's taken just over 4 weeks, so if you are still waiting, just keep calm and trust God :)

Obviously I can say this now because I got my docs back, but truly I was just panicking for nothing. If your case is straightforward and all evidence is provided, you will receive your approval eventually.

Congratulations, our Lord is able. Trusting him too for my wife and son's 2nd submission after the initial 2.5 years. Still waiting since March 2016 with 3 documents sent back after application over the past months from requests by the Home office. :D

Sure. These are the supporting docs I submitted:
Birth Certificate (both mine and partner's)
Marriage Certificate
UK University degree Certificate - to show proof of English Language
Husband university degree certificate (from the same university, to show proof of where we met)
2 items showing proof of address in both our names
4 items showing proof of address individually (so 8 altogether)
Bank statement and payslips showing proof of income (both mine and partner's)
A nice photo of both of us (not needed, but thought it won't harm to include)

I think that was it. and then I followed up with the letter from both employers as stated in my previous post.

Hope this helps

Thank you! I'm sure you will get your wife and son's documents soon. Just a matter of time. Looking forward to hearing your good news :)

amaka1207 wrote:Hello all,
