Finally Got my biometrics done on 16th

Been waiting for Biometrics letter for 2.5 months ...

My tier 4 leave was expiring on 28th April 2011, and the earliest marriage date I could get was 28th April 2011. So I applied FLRM on 28th April soon after marriage ceremony and sent the marriage certificate and photos and other documents etc after two weeks of application. got visa on 8th June.

So far, here are the details for my application:

Application arrived at HO: July 29th
Received Ack. Letter: August 6th but letter was dated the 1st
Received Biometric Booking letter: August 8th but letter was dated the 3rd

My appointment is booked for the 12th of August. So hopefully everything will go smoothly. I am switching over from a student visa. However, my case isn't straightforward.

However since I last posted, I found a job in June. One of the reasons I waited to send out the FLR M was because I wanted to show that I was working and my husband and I weren't soley relying on my family for support.

Though, the more researching I do, I find many people have been refused because they were considered overstayers. I hope that isn't my case, as the COA took forever to be issued and was the main cause of all the delay.

*Update*

I received my FLR acceptance today! It was issued the 22nd of August. I missed the initial delivery and got a Red card through the post. I picked up my documents this morning. I was so scared I would received a rejection as it had been less than a month since I sent in my application. Nevertheless, my husband and I are so happy as we can finally travel and visit my family for the winter holidays.

I still haven't received it. I called at the 10 day mark and they said that the card hadn't been made yet. They took my details and said someone would call me in the next 5 working days. The deadline for that should be tomorrow. If I haven't received it by then, then I'll give them another call.

Got acknowledgement letter on 29/8/11
Got biometric letter on 2/9/11
Got my biometric done on 7/9/11.
Got my documents and biometric residence permit on 20/9/11 with issuing dated as 14/9/2011.

heard nothing but a 'thankyou for supporting Mr X's application..' letter til
September 30th...REFUSED

Refused cos, despite providing phone records, messenger conversations, family statements, letters, cards, etc, they don't believe we've been together for 3 years!

I have applied for my wife on FLR(M) on 10 OCT.

Biometric letter recieved on 17 OCT but date of birth was incorrect. phone HO to correct it.

They will send another lettter for biometric.

Biometric conducted in Cardiff - 6th September

Today is the 29th of October and we are still waiting.

21:10/2011: Received letter requesting ESOL certificate which was sent with original application. Heart stopping moment! Sent letter back explaining that they should have it in their possession.

Received another letter for biometric on 21 OCT. and biometric have taken on 24 OCT.
