Confused in understanding visit visa validity dates

Hello Fellow members,

I have a query in relation to Visit visa validity period.

The time period mentioned in the Visit visa sticker pasted by Irish consulate is as following:

From : 22-July-2014
Until : 21-Oct 2014 However the date mentioned on the stamp from the Immigration officer at Dublin airport is as following: Can anyone please advise which dates I should be following or to be on the safe side should I check with Local immigration office?

I believe it means that you may stay in Ireland for a period of 90 days from 16 Aug 2014.

The validity period shown on your visa indicates the dates between which you must travel to Ireland. These dates are NOT the dates between which you’re permitted to remain in Ireland.

It seems odd that the visa was valid from a date (22 July 2014) before it was granted (11 Aug 2014)?

Thank you for the input the following is the scenario.

- Visa was approved on the 22nd July (by Dept. of Justice in Dublin)
- Visa approval was published in the PDF document on the INIS website on 29th July
- There was public holidays in Pakistan so therefore the visa sticker was pasted on the 11th August by (Irish consulate in Khi)

as far as I know the dates on the visa is to enter the state with in that time frame given which is in between 22nd July 2014 until 21 Oct 2014.

And actually the visitor can stay for 90 days from 16th Aug. (which is from port of entry date)
