Don't worry about the expiry of your family permit, it would not affect your right to stay here, you will need to purchase a comprehensive sickness insurance (CSI) that covers all you and your partner, and you need to show the UKBA that you and your partner have enough funds so as to not be a burden on the state, I suppose if your partner is working, his wages should be enough.

I already have an Italian health insurance card (which is also European), an NHS number and a NIN. Now I have to make also a CSI?

I just want to know what can be real appeal timeline as I need to know when I can go back to Italy for work, as I quite urgently need to do so (and I suppose that if I leave London and the Country, I can't come back without another visa).

Probably if the timeline for the appeal will take too much time (as I saw from the previous posts that for someone it took also more then 6 months) I'll re-apply for another type of Visa from Italy. It will be much easier and faster probably.

Appeal could take anything between 2 months and 7 months in London, if you carry on with the appeal, you will not succeed without providing a CSI and a bank statement which shows you have enough money to live on.

I have more then £ 5,000 pounds on my bank account, now I'll request the CSI number. Anyway, in this period of 7 months have I the possibility to continue working with a regular contract with my NIN number?

I think if you are allowed an appeal, you can also work till the time your appeal goes through and a final decision has been made on your application.

thats what happened in my case, when my employer asked to check my work status it said i can work till a final decision has been made on my file.

I got my RC today!
After a numerous calls and emails, reminding them that it's been 3 months I finally got it!
So here is my timeline:
EE2 application- 09/13
Refused:10/13
Appeal: 17/06/2014
Appeal allowed: 27/06/14
Refund of fees(140 GBP): 22/07/14
RC issued:11/10/14
RC received: 17/11/14

They posted it with 2nd class recorded. However the postman just dropped it through the letter box,and didn't request the signature...

Good luck to everyone who's still waiting!

Congrats Marilin!

Anyway the best scenario to receive an answer for the appeal and if successful obtain the residence card would be not less then an year, right?

90 days up, still no RC.. Its gets better.

On friday around 5 pm (i was finishing work) i get a call from the court where my hearing was saying they had lost the judge's decision letter and therefore hadn't been able to send it to Liverpool and if i could give them a copy.
I emailed it to them straight away, but this was beyond believable for me. I called them today (home office) and yep, they still are waiting for my appeal decision from the Feltham court.
They said that i should be patient since it takes a while for the post to filter through to the relevant department...

SPEECHLESS....
can someone please explain the Home office procedure after an appeal has been allowed? my appeal was allowed on july 16th..... :/

I had similar problem with one of my clients.

I called the presenting office, they said they have not received the decision from the Specialist Appeals unit.

I send them a copy, it was linked to the clients file, sent it of, got the MP involved, made a complaint, and the Residence CArd was received within 2 months.

now that the appeals unit have posted the file how long does it take from here??
should i try and call them again and check?
i checked with my mp she said i should call her if nothing happens end of november..
that is way too late..
it has been 3 months already.

Enjoy waiting my friend! You or your representation ever heard of an application called a JR? I have said it time and again, appellants have overtime encouraged this treatment, there is no question in my mind at all that this is an illegal act, when is it going to stop? RC should be issued immediately on receipt of the determination, these 90 days talk is just a load of baloney.

Hello all!
I called the UKVI helpline today and they told me that the determination has indeed been received today..
so i confirmed with them if they have everything they want to make a decision..
just to check, can they still refuse a residence card if the judge has allowed the appeal?
can they ask me for any further documents??

No helba2 I didn't receive any letter from HO, my solicitor was the one who suggested I sent in new passport photo.

My passport ID was also retained after my application but I did a new passport from my country's embassy and sent it to them together with my passport photo.

my passport ID with them was expired that was why I did a new one.
