Eu 1stamp 4

Post by manUTd » Thu Sep 17, 2015 9:08 am

Hi all,
I have applied for EU1 stamp 4 since 23rd july 15 and it's has been 9 weeks so far , no acknowledge letter? I am a family member of an EU and has a 'CARTE DE SEJOUR' from France.
Since I don't have my passport and no GNIB Card, will I be able to work with my Residence Card from France?

Any advise pls how long it mite take to get the temporary GNIB ?

Hi

No You are not eligible to work legally until you receive the certificate of right to work.

it is not peculiar to you, peoples are waiting longer than 12 weeks for a response, nowadays due to the volume of application they are taking more than 10 weeks to issue a temporary stamp, sometimes you will receive your letter next week :)
Wait for a surprise :)

Hi all,

Received letter today from EU treaty rights saying to collect the temporary stamp 4. Does anyone know if i can go tomorrow as on the Garda website, it said something about Mondays & Tuesdays for new registrations And Wednesday to Friday is reserved for renewal of registratios for eg those who have an existing GNIB Card.

Does this apply for EU Family or Students ?

Congratulation :D very happy to hear this now..

At this time they says like that because they have to deal with loads of students now and shortage of the staff so that's why they have implemented this monday and tuesday for new reg, if you gonna go friday then ring them and ask before you go..

There was a strike during this period, which may explain the delays.

That is what I was told by the Department of Justice, and I was in Ireland the other day, and they refused to accept my post, until Wednesday, due to postal strike.

I don't think they are the most efficient, but I don't believe they will lie.

Hi guys,

I went to collect my stamp4EuFam today with my wife (british citizen ) but i was told that there is noone from the EU section but still gave me a ticket.

When my number came up, the officer asked me why there is no stamp on my passport when i arrived in dublin ?
Reply: I have a residence card of family member of EU Citizen under directive 2004/38/EC from France.
The officer asked me , did u come from Belfast? I said no, I landed in Dublin?

He then saw that I have an EEA family permit refusal last January in France?

He told me to come again on Monday to meet his supervisor because of the EEA Family Permit refusal last January in France.

Guys, do you know if this refusal will affect my stamp4EuFam?

Do you know if this can affect my stamp4EuFam when I go on Monday?

Anyone please?

You went to collect a temporary stamp 4 not Stamp4EUFam.

I should think his supervisor will know better than that.

Hi obie,

Yeh stamp 4. Sorry.

do you u still think, if there should be a stamp in my passport?

When i arrived at Dublin airport, i showed the immigration officer my Residence Card from france with my passport. He gave me back my passport and residence card afterwards he said thank you.

hey obie, do u know why he asked me where is the stamp? Also do u think the refusal of the eea family permit, will be an issue.

No to worry about it because the family permit is not a legal requirement for the EU1 yet and you already in touch with immigration, also you having a letter for the stamp 4 provided by immigration.

I think the officer doesn't know about the Directive residence card and the right of entry, even it is not your duty to ask them to stamp on you passport when arrive in the airport so don't worry the supervisor might know about the Directive.

Thanks kunfayakun

i so hope that they dnt refuse the stamp 4.
What about other uk refusal. I had a spouse apllication that was refused in uk in 2013. Can they refuse the stamp 4 because of previous refusals.

does anyone has any experience please. If not then any official documents that state they cannot refuse based on that only?

any one please advise

Nop I don't think they will refuse unless you have been involved in criminal activities, because the stamp 4 is temporary one, they issue this to the applicants to allow work and live in the state until the immigration process your EU1application.

Congratulation :D finally you got the stamp 4 as we believed so nothing to worry now, I think you can work and no need to inform anyone, does the stamp says something you are restricted to work?

Hi
My wife who is a Non EEA member would be applying for a residence card (EU1). She has just arrived in Ireland on a C-Type Visa. Can someone tell me if she needs to get her GNIB card before applying for the Residence card.
