is there any advantage to applying as a family (2 adults + 2 kids) rather than individually? i guess i am thinking from the perspective of the total fees and also review. I did not seem to see any but another views would much appreciated.

life in the uk test - swapped first and last name

on the certificate swapped first and last name. they still allowed for the test to be taken but said that it's to the discretion of the person reviewing the application.

any input on this? does it effectively mean that the test would have to be retaken?

I do not know the exact location of where UKBA mentions this but I can tell you from my experience with UKBA. I had counted my total business absences to 216 excluding days of travel. UKBA only counts whole days. So day of Outbound Travel and Inward travel are not counted. Hence your Mon-Fri absence is 3 days absence assuming you leave on Monday and return on Friday. many thanks. is it spelled out somewhere "formally" on the ukba site, or it's just practical knowledge? The ...
