Tier 1 (General) - how many times can it be extended?

is it only once? i.e. 3 years + 2 years
or can it be twice? i.e. 3 years + 2 years + 2 years

asking b/c of a possibility of not being eligible for ILR with one extension only

Tier-1 can be extended as long as you are not eligible for permanent residency (PR or ILR)

A policy does not exist for inexistent requirement(s).

Vinny has provided the relevant immigration rule for extension. Under current rules you may apply for as many extensions as you wish, provided you qualify.
