Switch from Tier 2 General Dependent to Tier 2 General Main

Hello,

I first entered UK on July 1st 2010 and I continued extending my visa till April 2016 and I shifted to Tier 2 General dependent as my spouse is holding a Tier 2 General Visa.

The current employer(where i am working currently) is planning to sponsor me Tier 2 General Visa. Can I switch the visa from my home country immediately without any cool off?

What visa did you have that you entered the UK with?

I entered with Tier 2 ICT(Extendable) Visa on July 2010 and I continued till April 2016 and I switched to Tier 2 Dependent(as my wife is holding Tier 2 General) on April 2016.

You will need to be on Tier 2 Dependent visa for a full 12 months before you can apply for Tier 2 General from your home country.

Tier 2 ICT(Extendable)

There is no such category of ICT visa.

I was with Tier 2 ICT Long Term Leave to Remain Visa since 2010 and I switched to Tier 2 Dependent on 2016. Hope I can continue to stay in UK for 12 months with Tier 2 Dependent Visa ?
