Appyling for BC as a spouse

Hi all, new to this forum,
I have been granted indefinite leave to Enter when i was a child below 18 as my mother is british.
came to uk 4 years ago for studies and still living and studying in the uk. Just got married to a british citizen and i want to apply for my naturalization.. from what iv read i am eligible but can anybody help in confirming that, Am i eligible?
What else would i need to consider when making my application?
When submitting my documents do i need to submit my wife british passport or is it just a copy of her passport. And if at the time of application she is travelling what do i do? can i get her passport certified in any country, my civil marriage took place in southafrica thats where her family lives.

You will need ILR before applying for BC. Do you have this?

I have indefinite leave to Enter which i believe is the same as indefinite leave to remain, unless im wrong

no - you are not wrong - ILE and ILR are essentially the same - the only difference is that ILE is granted from outside the UK and ILR from inside.

Great, so from what iv read i understand i am eligible?

hi yes i have, thank you.
something i did not find hope you can help, i understand that when i submit my documents i will need to have been in the uk 3 years ago on that date. however the problem is i was in the uk but after 2 days i had travelled, so this being the case i will need to submit my documents next day delivery but is this when HO will recognize my application or will it be later, not sure if im clear on this.
eg i entered uk on 20 may 2009 but travelled on the 23rd may
so for example if i submit my paper work on 21st may 2012, documents reach HO on 22ndmay will that be ok? will it make a difference if i use NCS for this?
i dont want a situation whereby i send my documents on 21st may 2012 but HO only process it on for example 25th may, because if thats the case then i would have been out of the country on 25th may 3 years before that.
Hope someone understands, your help is most sppreciated.

The important date is when the HO receives the application. Not when it is processed. If using NCS, the date is still the same - when the HO receives it so it is important to make that clear to NCS as some councils they don't use next day delivery service or don't send post every day.
Alternatively, when did you return from your travel in 2009? You can postpone your application to that date.

Thank you, do i need to submit my wifes passport or just a copy of it? at the time i make my application she will be out the country does this make a difference? will it be okay if the passport is certified in southafrica?

From the last page of the application form:
SECTION 6 Evidence of marriage for applications made on the basis of marriage or civil partnership to a British citizen.
• Husband’s, wife’s or civil partner’s passport or birth certificate AND
• The marriage certificate or civil partnership certificate
So you can use her UK birth certificate (if born British) or her naturalisation certificate (if naturalised as British).
If she is out of the country, this is not a problem. The problem might be if she takes the passport with her...
You can make an early appointment with NCS and ask them to post the application at a later date (when you meet the 3 years residence requirement). They will photocopy your documents and give them back to you. Alternatively, you can certify a copy by solicitor.

The address(es) that you lived at, rather than the address(es) where you had your documents (e.g. - bank statements) delivered / posted.

yes i have passed my LIUK Test,
But i have lived at my main address also because during weekends and holidays i go to my family (Main Home)..
