Hi,

I just got the mn1 registration certificate for my daughter who was born in uk. My husband and myself have ILR. Now we wanted to apply for her passport and wanted to verify the supporting documents.

The application form from post office
My passport and ILR
Mn1 registration certificate for my daughter
Daughters birth certificate

Do I need to submit my husbands passport and ILR card and also is there any other documents required.

Thanks,

Q2: Do I need to send my passport with my child passport application?

If your child has obtained BC by registration, your passport is not required. Just send his foreign passport (if has one), birth certificate and the registration certificate.
If the child has obtained BC from birth because you hold ILR/PR, you will need to send your passport as proof of his claim for BC.
Only:

1)Foreign passport (if has one),
2)Birth certificate and
3)The registration certificate.

Is that right? Does someone need to send parents ILR documents (passport, BRP). If yes, both dad and mum's documents?

Hi Cofe,

Congratulations!

I need to register my child, he was born in Aug 2012.

I would appreciate if you could you advise on the following:

- Did you complete 1.2 (Immigration and Nationality Directorate or Border and Immigration Agency or UKBA reference number)
- What did you mention as child's 'present nationality' in 1.9
- What referees did you use (both my GP and health visitor has refused) in section 5
- What documents did you submit along with the application
- Did you use NCS (Nationality Checking Service)
- How long it took to receive the registration certificate

Many thanks

Regards,

Ankur
