Hello All,

I am applying for naturalisation for me and my wife by the end of this month visa the NCS service. I have read the guidance and below is the checklist I propose to take with me to the NCS. Pls advise if I am missing something

1) Passports (mine and wifes)
2) Life in the UK certificate (for both of us)
3) the Home office letter I got with the PR card
4) Permanent Residence cards (for both of us)

I have been reading about some documents other people have taken with them but am not sure if I need them, pls advise if these are required for the application.

1) Letter of Employment from Employer
2) P60s
3) Bank statements
4) council tax statements

Pls advice what all do I really need for the application..!!

I assume you have ILR and not PR (which is the term used for people under the EU regulations).

Assuming you are not self employed and that your passports cover the 5 years of residence (for each one of you), then your first list is what is needed. You will also need to submit a marriage certificate if you wish to enjoy from a joint application fee (£200 discount).

And also because i didnt / never had a passport ,i travelled on a UFF document ,attached a copy(lost original in 2009) with police report ,will this be enough?

Not being sarcastic...but I thought ILR and PR were the same thing..!!

I am Indian and have been in UK since 2006, got HSMP and later general tier 1. got my PR last year (atleast thats what those plastic cards HMRC sent me said)

Yeah you are right bout the Marriage Certificate....I forgot to add it to the first list..!! I will submit it.!!

People normally mix the terms but in the UK the correct term for people under the UK immigration rules is ILR.

In the UK, HMRC deal with tax. They don't issue plastic cards.

PR is for those exercising EEA treaty rights ie. married to an EEA national (not bc). ILR is for those granted settlement who were not exercising EEA treaty rights such as your 5 years. But yes they both mean you are a permanent resident - settled.
