Referees

My referees' professions are not listed in the accepted profession list. Actually one of them is software developer. The other one is research fellow.
Do you think they qualify as referee?

This is a
list of acceptable professional persons.
I don't think the software developer (or any IT person) can act as a professional referee unless he holds a valid qualification from
BCS like AMBCS or MBCS.

I am not sure what kind of fellow he is.
What about a manager in IT? Would he qualify as manager mentioned in the accepted professional?

As I mentioned earlier anybody in IT would only qualify if he has a valid membership with the British Computer Society.
