You should apply in October 2013 as you must have been physically present in the UK 5 years prior to your application being received by the Home Office. Assuming you are not the spouse or civil partner of a British citizen.

OP came to UK in Oct 2007 which is 5y11m before the date of applicataion. Sept 2013 is the earliest he can apply assuming he was in UK in Sept 2008

Sorry I thought he wrote October 2008, my mistake. Though he should confirm he didn't mean 2008.

I am applying through NCS on 3 oct 2013. I have downloaded AN form from HO website which is a dec 2012 version.

Can someone please check and reply on following questions:-

I have got my ILR on 28 sep 2012 so i am applying on 3 oct 2013. i believe that i should be in the UK on 3 oct oct 2008 ????

I am an employee of the company so i have put my company name and tax ref. I believe i dont need to submit any P60 or salary slips or any experience letter from comapny ???

One of my refree is a director of limited company and she has put company registered number on the form as well. Second refreee is an engineer with engineering degree from UK university.. AM i ok with it ????

So on the day i should be going with my AN form, Paymet slip, Passports to prove my presence in uk, Life in the Uk test, ILR card.. thats it ??????

Please let me know if i am doing anything wrong.

Thanks in advance.

Do i need any sort of passport copies of my refrees ?

any of their degree copies or their company letter heads ?
CR001 wrote:No, not required! Referees will be contacted by UKBA if necessary.
SouthWest1 wrote:i would advise to take all your P60 and any tax papers with you just in case.

had a friend asked for them when he was applying via NCS and luckily he had them on him. just to satisfy section 3 i think in the application.

you hear different stories when people apply via NCS and some times they ask for awkward or random stuff!!! so take them if you have them ready.

I have seen some posts related to it but still want to know if someone has done it or not.

Can you travel after applying for naturalization as i am applying through NCS so will keep my passport with me anyway.

On the forum ppl have asked this question but no one has said if they have done it or not.

secondly one of my friend's friend got detained on the border as he has travelled after his nationality application and HO has cancelled his ILR so they detained him in suspesion.

Any ideas ?

Cheers

Have you read the FAQ before posting?

Did you actually hear the details from the source or is it just a hearsay? Your ILR doesn't get cancelled when you apply for naturalisation (if fact, it doesn't even get cancelled when you become BC although it becomes irrelevant).
