Address change or Redirection?

HI,
We applied in April.
Now we are moving out to Dubai and will be leaving end of July while the application is still in progress.
I have a friend here whose address I can use.
Question is
Shall I contact Home Office about the change of address ?
or
just put a redirection from my current address to my friend's address?
Which is preferred?

I would use both.

I would agree with cricinfo.
Note that the redelivery is not applicable to all types of mail as per:

hi there....
I had to move and on 13/06/13, my application was in progress....
i did change the address on the UKBA website and a I did redirection.I even received email from UKBA my details was gonna be updated on the system in 72 hours.
I received my approval letter on 28/06/13 dated 20/06/13 on the new address because of the redirection, because they did posted to the old address.
best advise is do both and try to keep checking the old address, because on my approval letter they requested me to book a ceremony within 21 days from the letter date.
