Queries related to Travelling

Hello,

I have a few issues:

I just recently became a British Citizen, applied for my passport and received it recently. However, I have to travel to India soon. Unfortunately, I don’t have the time to surrender my passport and get a visa for India.

1. Will it be an issue in entering and leaving from India carrying the Indian Passport? If I carry my British Passport in hand – will it be an issue if any of the officials in India see it?

2. Can I enter UK with my British Passport? Will there be any issues/concerns?

My family (Wife and Child) has applied for the Naturalization back in July – their decision is still pending. They would join me in travelling to India. We applied through NCS – hence have the passports and resident permits.

3. Will there be an issue for them to travel to India? Will the no: of days outside UK change in doing so?
4. Do I have to inform UKBA about the travel as our application is still under consideration.

Please note that we are travelling in September – 13th Sept for 15 days.

I would appreciate if you could advise soon.

Regards
PeteOPete.

From the date your Naturalisation application was Granted.
If you travel beyond that date there is a fine involved (Indian Embassy).
Till 3 months you should be okay .

Thanks VR...much appreciated.

I presume, for my wife and child there will be no issues to travel - they don't have to inform the HO.
