return Documents please advice

hello , i have applied for the citizenship in 2/10/2013 but now i need my passport and my ILR to show to my new employer but when i was filling the return document form in the declaration they are saying that for the identity prove reasons if you are not Romanian or Bulgarian they may withdrawal my application 
the question is , iam not EU citizen can i take my passport and ilr back for just one week without effecting my application ? thank you in advance ..
