Dear All,

Please can anyone clarify our query.

My wife's and our Son's Naturalization applications are under process with Home Office as of now, but she will be flying out of UK next week and wont be returning until end of Next August due to personal reasons.

Please can anyone help us know what is going to happen to their naturalization and other formalities like OATH?

(1) Do they MUST attend OATH and for that should they FLY back to UK?

(2) IF their naturalization is approved and if they are not in UK by then will that be revoked or cancelled?

(3) Do they have to RE-APPLY for their naturalization when they come back to UK in August 2014?

Thanks.

She must attend a ceremony otherwise she will need to reapply again (probably not straight away when she returns because of her absesnces).

However, because she is a spouse of British citizen she can ask for the ceremony to be transferred abroad. See 6.11.22.11.
