English Requirements for Naturalisation

Hi,

I am applying for my naturalisation in January next year and wanted to check something regarding the new rule for English Language requirement.

I have a certificate from NARIC which I used for my first HSMP application to show my degree is comparable to a UK degree and to get the points for degree.
Is that enough for the naturalisation also or do we need to get one more from NARIC or is it better to write some IELTS exam? (my older IELTS has expired now)

Please advise.

Thanks.

Please browse the forum. This has been discussed in depth already.

The general consensus is if you used your IELTS for entry clearance for initial hsmp, you should be OK using the same certificate, even though its expired.

I am applying in 2 weeks, and am planning to do the same.

Its not mere consensus. Its fact.

Well until someone reports getting approval using expired IELTS used at the time of entry clearance, its still consensus or general feeling.

Once we have confirmation, it can be called a fact :).

When HO expressley state that expired ielts is acceptable for settlement and naturalisation applications, then it is a fact.

I will let you do the searching as to where this fact is mentioned.
