Hi,

My friend wants to apply British passport for his UK born child. His child is registered as a British citizen after my friend and his wife got ILR. The whole family has to travel India as soon as possible so he wants to book the Fast Track passport service to apply British passport for his child.

Now my question is as my friend and his wife are on ILR, can they still book Fast Track passport service for thier child? Does parents needs to be British Citizen to use this service for their child?

Please advise.

Thanks

Parents on ILR can go for fast track passport for their child. ETA 3-4 days. Worked fine for us so speaking from experience.

The child is British. Period. There is only one category of citizenship. The parents' status is irrelevant.

Also, can anyone tell how long the fast track appointment lasts for?
and also the question regarding the child previous passport.
