Hi

My query is regarding residential eligibility for my wife's naturalization.

My Arrival Date is 02-FEB-2005 as student
Got work Permit on 02-Dec-2007
Transferred to Tier 1 on 24-Feb-2009 and
My ILR date of issue is 15-JAN-2013
Total time on 15th January 2014= 7 years & 11 months + 1 year after ILR = 8 years and 11 months in total

My wife details:
My wife arrival date in UK is 02-OCT-2009 and
her ILR date of issue is 15-JAN-2013
Her total time on 15th January 2014 = 3 years & 3 months + 1 year after ILR = 4 years and 3 months in total.

I am eligible for naturalization on 15th January.

Is she eligible on
a) 15th January with me(4 years and 3 months total stay in UK)
b) 2nd Oct 2014( 5 years in total)
c) 2nd Oct 2015 (6 years in total)

Many Thanks for your help.

Best Regards
Saqib

Your wife can apply for citizenship as soon as you are approved and have attended the ceremony. This will be as Spouse of BC and the residential requirement is 3 years.

If your application takes too long (which is unlikely), she can apply in on 2nd October 2014 on the basis of 5 years.
