SPEED OFFENCE AND NATURALIZATION!

I am about applying for British citizenship as I hold an ILR for more than one year but I have just received NID Notice of intended prosecution from POLICE SCOTLAND for exceed 30 mph speed limit whilst driving.
This matter will normally be dealt with by issuing a conditional offer of a Fixed penalty notice (COFPN)which imposes a fixed penalty and three penalty points.
Will this potential sentence be termed as a criminal conviction, will I have to mention it on my application and if yes how will it affect my application.
Any advice is much appreciated.

So it should be an FPN.
