Hi

we had baby after we got ILR. she is British by birth but we want to apply for her India passport first as we parents are on Indian passports. Once we parents got our naturalization done successfully. we want to apply for British passport all together and surrender Indian passports.

The reason for apply Indian passport for baby is in case there is any issue with our naturalization application then we all want to be on Indian passports.

is this ok to do? do you see any issue.

What are your thoughts?

It's entirely your choice.
You'll need to register the child's birth with Indian High Commission first, and then the child is eligible to apply for Indian passport.
If you plan to travel abroad, then you'll need to obtain a CoE ROA on child's indian passport.
