I just had the NCS appointment for my wife and the lady took the original 'Life in uk' certificate and gave us the copy. Se said this rule came in to affect around 3 months ago?

is it true? When I did mine last year, they didn't take the original.

Yes they take the original copy as you won't have the need for it anymore. They took mine as well, my brother and sister in law also gave their original ones last year I'm surprised they didn't take yours coz I know the original life in the UK test results is always taken
