Hello,

Me and wife got ILR last year in Feb-14 and thinking to apply for naturalisation now. I have completed more than five years in this country but my wife has been here for only three years. My question is:

As I am eligible for naturalization now, can my wife apply with me or she has to complete five years in this country first?

thanks
Sachin

She will need to have completed 5 years residence to apply at the same time as you.

However, once you have been approved and attended your ceremony, she can then apply on the basis of 3 years residence as the spouse of a British Citizen (she needs your naturalisation certificate for her application).

You and your wife can't apply together because she has to complete 5 years in the UK. Since you already have apply for the citizenship and once you get it your wife can apply because then you will be a British citizen. I know it's bit odd but rules are rules :D
