Missing Life in UK Test Certificate - What to do?

Hello Everyone
I'm really sorry if I am repeating a question that has been covered to death. But please bear with me and provide your expert advise.
I got my ILR last year and I am due to make the Citizenship application. I just realized that my LIUK certificate is MISSING. I cant believe this as I am one to never loose any document. I'm starting to think the Home Office never returned it to me when I made the ILR application and I didn't notice at the time.
Looking at the guidiance for the Citizenship form, its saying i'll have to take a proof of the LIUK certificate to the Nationality Checking Service. Its also asking for the test number. I am starting to go crazy here! What do I do??
Please Please advise
Thank you and regards,
L.

Hi I was in the same boat, I also NEVER lose things and carefully filed away my ILR documents until I needed them yto apply for naturalization.
I canlled the home office helpline and they told me sometime they do keep the original document when you apply for ILR BUT they keep your pass number electronically so to just tick you have passed and either write a cover letter explaining it was submitted for ILR or add it on to the extra information page . Also date and location you took the test is helpful, I just printed out my confirmation email when I booked the test and added it in my application.
Good luck

I only applied a few weeks ago so I am still waiting.
I did a postal application as my council insisted I needed the test certificate.
I also had sent an email to the home office and they respondred a few weeks later (after I had sent my application of course)
Saying to note that I had already submitted previously and include date and test centre location.
I dont see it being a problem.

An update on this post
When i went to NCS to make my application, the Guy there just called the home office who provided by test certificate number in a heart beat. If you find yourself in the same situation as I did, DO NOT WRITE THE BLEEPING TEST AGAIN. Just go to the NCS and they will call home office to sort you out. I guess this is why we are paying NCS in the first place

That is a useful number and got a very quick response. I was told by home office that it is an usual practice to keep our life in the UK certificate when we apply for ILR and i was asked to mention that in our covering letter whilst applying for naturalization.
