We both parents are on ilr, then in this case,
1) Is our child born in Uk already a British citizen (Can she apply for the british passport straight away?), or,
2) Does she need to apply for registration for british citizenship via MN1 form before she applies for british passport.

If child is born in the UK after a parent has ILR, then child is
automatically British.

Thank you for your advice. We will plan to apply for her passport directly.
Kind regards,
Sreyas.

Hi Vinny,
Please make me correct, If I am wrong:
1. first we need to register child under 18 as British citizen: form MN1
https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... n-form-mn1
2. Apply for British Passport.
I also need to register my baby un 18 as British Citizen form MN1 and have a doubt here about section 1 : Personal Details - It is asking for Child ILR date. If a child born in UK and doesnt have any IRL visa so how can a baby have ILR Date?
Please clarify my doubt.
Thanks,
Susan

No, you don't need to register your child as British citizen.
You can apply for a British Passport straight away, so no need for form MN1.

1. You're
correct, if neither parents were settled when the child was born in the UK.
2. Please read the question
carefully.
