Processing time for Child British Passport from India

I thought i will create this thread as many people going to India are deceived by Home office processing time on their website. They say 16 wks and there are many instances where people are waiting for more than 2 yrs. I want to create this thread so that people can update the details. I will do an audit and based on finding we should be able to sue the Govt for giving false information and putting us in despair. I request both who have applied and received passport for application from India to advice. Please keep this short and to the point.
