You should be fine as there is usually a transitional period where the older form is still accepted.

Hi CR001
Thanks for the update, just wanted to know, is there a place where I can find how long is the transitional period as my appointment is on Friday and I don't want to be told off by NCS so just wanted to make sure all is fine, is there any link for that info

Regards

From past experience, the transitional period is usual around a month.

You should be fine.

Hello,

I have an appointment on the 10/11 but I have already filled in the form (05/15 version).
I don't mind to fill in the new ones except that one of my referee is now on holiday abroad, so he won't be able to sign the new paper. Will it be ok if I hand it the old one?
Also I don't hold a PR, that I saw it's requested on page 12, although apparently the law is not valid until the 12/11. Shall I request one?

Many thanks,

Vera

i have appointment booked for Dec. Today i received following email from Council where I booked:

Dear Sir/Madam

We have been informed today by the Home Office that from 12th November, every adult who is applying for British Citizenship must complete the new AN form October 2015 edition. As you have an naturalisation appointment with us on 21st December, it is important that you complete and bring with you the updated form.

Kind regards

I hope it will help to find out the validity for old form.

CR001] You should be fine as there is usually a transitional period where the older form is still accepted.

This may not be true, the best is to check with NCS they are easily approachable. ( I called 4-5 council today morning to get my NCS appointment in London borough).

Finally got one with Kingston and this is what they say

Please ensure that you have fully completed the application form and that the dates on the front cover are as follows:

AN form – May 2015
MN1 form – June 2015

The current forms are valid till 12th Nov only, based on my chat with few NCS.

As per the new AN form and Booklet, it seems if we have met the english requirement after 28th Oct 2013, we are not affected by new English requirement (which is basically a small list of test instead of many)

"I met the knowledge of language and life requirement to qualify for settlement on or after 28th October 2013; "

Any thoughts? It will be good if someone can confirm this details with NCS during their appointment; else i will do it on 11th Nov. I have changed my date from 17th to 11th, just to be on safer side

Thanks
