Naturalisation queries

Hello there

I am in the process of applying for my naturalisation. I've already got my ILR. I've got a couple of questions...

1. Can I travel once I've applied? I am an Indian passport holder with a BRP. I've heard the originals are returned?
2. Do I need to prove my English language skills again? I assumed a successful ILR is proof enough? I had taken a printout of the PBS calculator showing my degree was taught in English for my ILR application, which was accepted.
3. I've heard about new rule changes starting 15 Nov, but I'm unable to find anything on gov.uk?

Any response would be appreciated... thank you!

Nikhil

This FAQ link is a good place to start.

About travelling, you can travel by all means, but make sure to be able to provide biometrics and attend ceremony in UK. Personally I would not travel unless necessary.

Thank you fwd079!

So can I assume that both the passport and the BRP are returned immediately?

The originals are returned if you use Nationality Checking Service (NCS). Good luck.

You're welcome. Please do post your application timeline in relevant timeline thread as well, to help other gauge. Good luck.
