hi All,
appreciate all help to fill the form correctly, and answer all my enquires.
1. When application is approved, do they send certificate by post or parent has to go for child's ceremony?
2. Under which section i should apply if my son is 8y.o. he holds EU passport. his father has received his British passport in May, and i (mother) have applied for naturalization 3 month ago. i'm also EU passport holder a.t.m.
3. sections 3.1 and 3.2 are not applicable to us??
4. If childs father doesn't live in uk, will this not affect the application??

1) Usually sent by post for a minor (no ceremony)

2) Where was child born - UK or abroad?

3) Depends on answer to 2 (but probably does not apply - TBC)

4) Depends on answer to #2;
also may depend upon on the reason for such an absence/separation & whether or not father has parental responsibility/plays any part in upbringing of child, has any contact, has given (or can give) consent (etc etc)

Do you have any idea if i apply and move house, how do i inform home office and do they need any proof of new address??

You need to inform Home Office of any change of address as they may need to communicate with you about the application - they may (rarely) call applicant for an interview, there may be follow up questions, child will in any case be called to enrol biometrics & ofcourse the registration certificate will be sent out to you.

Suggest use Home Office contact details in any paperwork accompanying MN1 form.

You don't need to prove the change as such but it needs to be accurate & a valid address (!).

Suggest you set up mail forwarding too (via Royal Mail post office);
this will catch any mail that may go to your old address after you have moved.

what about section 2.3. since we are EU citizens, we have no stamps in our passports, so it's very difficult to remember all dates, i know we were absent maximum only 3 weeks each year

also if child's father is abroad, section 7.1 - does it have to be filled? i made him sign it and send it to us by post. so i have it filled, won't it look dodgy if i declare father staying abroad but form would be filled?

Do the best you can with approximate dates (month / year).

Father's consent is important.

HO caseworkers probably understand parents make these sorts of arrangements in order to fill out the forms;
for example, father could have completed it last time he visited you in UK.

There is no requirement for the non-applicant British parent to be resident in UK.
