Moving to self employment

Hi,
I have been granted ILR this year and plan to apply for citizenship next year.
I have achieved ILR through the tier1 category and has always been in permanent employment.
I am planning to move to self-employment shortly in which I will be drawing a small salary and will be receiving dividends.
1. Do I need to be mindful of any salary thresholds?
2. Also, if I move into self employment now, my full year accounts will not be submitted before my citizenship application. Is that going to be an issue?
Regards

Employment is NOT a requirement for citizenship applications. Citizenship is NOT a visa.
You are required to declare 10 years of employed (ALL employment). Make sure you are registered with HMRC as self employed and stick to the tax rules.

Thanks Char.
I am working with an accountant to get the things set up.So, hopefully should be ok.
I am assuming that declaring 10 years of employment is enough - we do not need to furnish any proof ( if they require, they will carry out the checks). It is only that I may not have any formal evidence(like appointment letters) going back 10 years.
Can you please confirm.

You need to list your employment. The form does not ask for evidence to be submitted for 10 years employment. HO have access to all sorts of systems to check your information.

Hi
Do we have to mention only 10 years employment history or self employed as well. If someone was registered as self employed and was also doing full time employment but at the time of applications he is not registered as self employed anymore and only doing full time employment job.
Thanks
Kashif

The clue is in: 'history'.
All employment, whether employed or self-employed.
10 years history required.
