Hi All,

Could anyone tell me whats the difference between Ist and two? We are a family of 5 including 3 kids all born abroad and all have ILR. What fees do I need to pay for adult and children as per the following new fees?

1- Naturalisation [note 4]
£1,005 to £1,236

2- Nationality registration as a British citizen - adult [note 4]
£913 to £1,121

3- Nationality registration as a British citizen - child [note 5]
£749 to £936

Thanks

The first fee is for adults naturalising, the 2nd fee is for adults who have a life-long entitlement to register as BC, e.g. form T registrations.
For you it's fee no.1 for the adults and fee no.3 for the children...a rather expensive day :(

I believe so. Apart from the children's registration fees of course as minors do not have to attend a ceremony.

That is going to be a very expensive day out. As you are aware, the new fees take effect from 18th March.

£1236 for adult naturalisation and £936 for child registration

Hi Friends,

Can you please help me understand what fees will apply.
I have an appointment with NCS on 17th March, which is when I will sub,it my application for naturalisation for 2 adults and 2 minors.

My application will be received by home office on or after 18th March.

What fees will apply, the old fees or the new fees?

Thanks in advance
Lucky G

Should be the current fees. Date of application is the date of your NCS appointment.

The day the NCS receives the application is the date of application according to the Home Office. It is hatever are the fees payable on that day.

Dear CR001 and secret.simon,

I am bit worried as well, as my wife application for Naturalisation is 17th at NCS. Wondering what would be the fees as experessed by Lucky G.

As per your comment, I am bit comfortable. However please re-confirm the same.

Thanks and Regards
Kishore

The day the Home Office receives the application. So, the fees on the 18th would be payable.

Also, see a somewhat similar case.
