MN1 Urgent Help

My friend (Indian passport holder) is due to apply for ILR (face to face) appointment on 15 Arpil 2016 and currently on tier 1 general visa. His wife (Indian passport holder) is on his dependent visa.

His wife delivered baby today after many medical complications in UK on 29 March 2016.

Questions:

After my friends approval of ILR on 15 April 2016, does my friend need to apply for his baby Indian passport first before filling MN1 form or can he fill for MN1 directly without applying for baby Indian passport?

Does a baby one month old would require referees and biometric?

What is the procedure? He is very stressed.

Can you please reply?

Cheers

Yes. He does not need the Indian passport as they baby will be entitled to register as British due to being born here.
Does a baby one month old would require referees and biometric?
Yes to both. Children under 6 years old only have to do photos for biometric not fingerprints.
What is the procedure? He is very stressed.

The baby can be registered as British as soon as you friend gets his ILR. Why do you think I have implied anything different?

Naturalisation biometric not received and fees confusing

Hello Friends,

I submitted for naturalisation application with my wife ( 2 naturalisation applications) on 16/03/2016 via NCS Dunfermline with application date of 16/03/2016. Provided Fees- £1005. UKBA received both applications on 18/03/2016 as shown on Royal Mail tracking reference given by NCS.

My questions:

We both have not received biometrics letters yet and no fees deducted yet from home office?

Some members are saying that home office are demanding for more fees (£231) for applications received on 18/03/2016 even though they submitted the application on 16/03/2016 via NCS?

Can a senior member shed some light on the above points? What are our rights if they ask for more money?

Date of application is the date you submitted at NCS. Old fees should apply.

HO is likely very busy and has a backlog due to the large number of applications submitted before the fee increase. You will need to wait and be patient.
