Good Character Naturalization

Hi,

I (with family - wife & 2 kids) are now eligible for applying for UK naturalization. While going thru the naturalization form I am unsure on what all can impact the Good Character requirement. I have 2 queries -

1. In Sep 2010, I was stopped by police on highway for driving the car without Road tax. As I was new to the country they just gave me a penalty fine of £60 & let me go.

2. In last 6 years I think I have received 3 to 4 parking fines (not by police but private car parks like Tesco, super market etc).

I have no points on my driving license.

Does both point 1 & 2 needs to be disclosed while applying for naturalization ? Are these categorized as Criminal Offence ?

Does this impact my naturalization .... I mean can I & my family (wife & 2 kids) be refused naturalization on these grounds.

thanks Sushant

No, it does not but you have to declare it.

Good luck

Thanks for the reply...

Do I need to declare some of the normal parking fines aswell. Also the road tax penalty was more than 5 year back ... it was in Sep 2010 and someone told me that if it's more than 5 year old than you may not have to declare it.

I am ok to declare all this but just worried on how this is taken... naturalisation form says that repeated offence would be taken seriously and I think I might have got 2-3 parking fines .... regards Sushant

Defo declare the first one!

As per second as Long as you paid the fee and in time etc. I would not worry.
