I have a PR card and I am applying for citizenship. Should I send address proof and employment from the last 6 years.I looked the guidance notes and it's unclear whether I should send it or not.

Hello, yes despite your Permanent Residency Card you need to send proof of address as well as proof of treaty rights for the qualifying period.

At this point you need to send it even though you hold a PR card. It's something they should think about changing really as you proof everything twice

Do not confuse and jumble up EU requirements with naturalisation requirements.
They are different as they come under two different legislative frameworks (EU law transposed into UK law versus UK domestic law).

There are 2 aspects to applying to naturalise:

• Proof of settled status (free from immigration time restrictions);
  Proof of residency and proof of physical presence on a certain day 3/5 years ago (plus absences from UK within limits);

You do not have to re-prove settled status by submitting another PR type bundle.
You do have to prove your settled status.

And you have to prove your residency for 3 or 5 years depending on whether you are making a Section 6(2) or 6(1) application.
This is not about 'proving your address' its about proving you were in UK.

Regarding employment, you don't need 'proof of employment';
due to a recent change, you do now need to provide proof of tax/NI for any/all types of employment for up to past 10 years (depending on how long you've been in UK);
- this relates to the good character requirement.

Well yes, PR card (DCPR or PRC depending whether the holder is EEA or non-EEA) does confirm settled status;
- that is in the context of EU migration route (rather than the UK route).

But naturalisation demands settled status plus residency and the requirements are different from simply acquiring PR.
And the various timelines are different too.
