Hi senior moderators,
I've been granted ILR residence permit on basis of Tier 2 dependent route in March 2015.
My spouse got BC in year 2016. I didn't chose to apply at the same time though i am entitled to apply.
Now i am planning to apply for naturalisation. On which route i fall under? 3 year qualifying route or 5 year route !. Iam little confused. Please help !.

Thanks

The paper form AN and postal applications are still acceptable. Note that applications are processed by UKVI, not the UKBA.

Thank you for you reply. I much appreciate for your speedy response.
Related to my previous query on qualifying period, iam eligible for 3 year route as a Bitish spouse. Please advice as below:

Iam in UK since 2010 as tier 2 dependant .Myself and my spouse qualified for ILR in 2015.
My spouse got naturalised in year 2016. I am on ILR at that point and still continuing as ILR
Now ,at the point of submission my application as a form AN in this week ,i was absent on the same day 3 years back.
I am I eligible to apply for 5 year route ? and i was not absent the same day five year back.

Please advice whether i can apply for 5 year route as a naturalisation.!

Many thanks everyone .

Dear senior members,

Iam in UK since 2010 as tier 2 dependant .Myself and my spouse qualified for ILR in 2015.
My spouse got naturalised in year 2016. I am on ILR at that point and still continuing as ILR .
Iam eligible to apply for naturalisation beacause i obtained ILR in 2015.
Now i want to apply for naturalisation soon. In Home office rules it says 3 year route if you are married/civil partnership to BC.
I continued as a Tier 2 dependant since 2010 and obtained ILR 2015.
Can i apply under 5 year route? though my spouse is BC now.

The reason behind is :at the point of submission my application as a form AN in next week ,i was absent for 1 month on the same day 3 years back.
I am I eligible to apply for 5 year route ? and i was not absent the same day five year back.

Please advice whether i can apply for 5 year route as a naturalisation, though my spouse is BC and iam continuing lawful residency since 2010.

I highly appreciate everyone for continuous support.
Have a good day.

Thank you for speedy response.I was absent for 23 days in November, 3 years back.
From Nov 1 to Nov 24th.
Iam going to apply on Nov 8 this year. do i fall under absent category at the point of submission?.
If so, can i chose 5 year route because i was present in UK in November 5 year back

To avoid caseworkers' confusion, why not wait to apply until after 24 November?

Thanks for your reply. I feel sorry myself because my passport document is expiring on 15th November. Either have to wait until my passport got renewed and apply on December or January 2019.

Thanks

Applying with a recently expired passport may be okay.
