ukvcas documents scaning

Hi All,
Ive just sumbit my application and now i need to upload all my documents to the ukvcas webiste.
i have 3 passports and each of them got 60 pages, im using scanning them as pdf in colour but the size is too high( i dont know howt to do it black and white )
can please someone help me how to do it ?
please explain as simple as be, as im not really good with technology
