Passport Application enquiry

Hi,
Im applying for my first passport after the ceremony, on the application they requesting to sent the passport you came in the uk with along with the citizenship certificate. I don’t have any passport I applied through the refugee route, should I sent them my in Uk travel document or just a note explaining the issue?
