Citizenship immediately after IRL?

"If married to a BC, you can apply the same day you are granted ILR if you meet the spouse requirements which includes 3 years residence. Any legal stay in the UK counts."

My partner is eligible for ILR next year after 5 years of FLR(M) as my unmarried spouse. It would therefore take her another year after ILR to be eligible for citizenship.

My question is - is there any minimum time you must be married? Could I marry my partner 1 day before the ILR application and then be eligible for citizenship on approval of the IRL?

Thank you.

There is no minimum length of marriage requirement to qualify for an immediate application as spouse of a British citizen.

Thank you for your reply.

Is there any source for this information?
Or is it just that there is no mention of a minimum marriage length requirement in the guidance?

It's nothing new ....
Not mentioned in the guidance - all it says "married to or the civil partner of a British citizen on the date of application " - page 6:
