Hello,

I am a Romanian citizen currently with settled status in the UK. I am eligible to apply for citizenship in October and have started to look at the application process. I have passed the life in the UK test and the English test.
In the application it asks for the exact dates in which i have been outside the UK in the past 5 years. I have been on many trips (not more than 450 days) however i cannot remember the exact dates and am afraid i cant remember all of the trips. I do not have any documentation or flight records left from these trips not do i have my old passport that i used for most of these trips.
Does anyone know any other ways of obtaining my travel records or has anyone filled out the application process before and had the same problem?
I've tried contacting the Home Office for answers but can never get through to an actual person.

Would appreciate any help you can give me, thanks!

You can request personal information held in the borders, immigration and citizenship system using this link:

https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... mmigration

I'm also an EU citizen, so don't get any stamps in my passport when entering the UK, but I have to provide the Stupid with my passport number when I book flights, so when the document came through, it indeed had a record of most of my flights in and out of the UK. I think two or three might have been missing, but the majority was there, and if these are the only ones your provide on your citizenship application form, then at least they match what the Home Office has on their files.

This request is free of charge, but might take a couple of weeks. I think my request took just over a month.

You can use approximate dates where you are not sure.
You could raise a Subject Access Request (SAR) with UKVI to see what data they hold. It's another application to raise andwait for ....

There is no guarantee that your data is complete. Reports I have seen is that some get their complete history, some only partial and some didn't have any data stored against them..
