How can a person bring his children to UK under the circumstances below.

Child 1 Born overseas to parent with ILR.
Child 2 born overseas to parent with British citizenship.

Both children have never been to UK and their other parent (mother) also hasn’t been to UK ever before.

Sorry if the question has been asked previously on the forum.

Child 1 will need a visa, same as the mother. Then ILR afyer 5 years when they qualify before they can apply for citizenship, assuming the mother is married to the children's father.

Child 2 is automatically British by descent and can apply for a pass directly if born after one parent became British.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Both parents are married.

What I understood is other parent and child 1 will need to apply under spouse visa route. Correct?

As child 2 is also abroad, what form will need to be filled?

Thank you

Child 2 can also apply for Right of Abode. That will be issued as a sticker on the child's other passport.
