Hi
please can you advise. I would like to ask a friend from my work (bank back-office) to countersign my passport application. Do you think that it will be accepted? We both are just back office clerks and he is my colleague, so I'm not sure...

I used one of my friend who works for the bank for the AN form ( I did ring them and checked , they said it was ok). I assumed that would be fine for the passport as well, however when I rang IPS, they told me he doesn’t qualify as signatory, I did ask them to double check as he is a bank official they basically said no, only bank managers qualify.
So my advice is to ring IPS on (0300 222 0000) and ask them.

Regards.
