Citizenship and Self Employed

Hello Wise Memebers,
I am due to apply for my Naturalisation shortly.
I am self employed from the 01/03/2011. As a self-employee, we pay taxes after the current tax year. But I will be applying for my BN in March, 2011. Can members help me on this.
My second question is, do the BN pople call your current employers, to check if you working with them. As there is a column where you got to write your employer name.
