Hi, I have been trying to work out if I am eligible for a British Citizenship for a while now and cannot find a section I am eligible under. So I will tell you my details and hopefully someone can help me :).

I am 19 years old I was born in Victoria, Australia.
My father was born in Wiltshire, England in 1960, he moved to Australia in 1964 but never became an Australian citizen.
My mother was born in 1973 in Australia, who never married my father anid will most likely not.
My father is on my birth certificate and they have also said they would willingly get a DNA test to prove he is my father.

Thanks for any advice you guys have :)

Unfortunately, it's too late for you to register.

If your parents marry each other, then you may automatically become British.

Just another question, if they were to marry, I would automatically become a British Citizen?, if yes that means I could just apply for a passport?
Thanks

Assuming they don't get married, then an Ancestry Visa may still be an option. http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk

Or is there any chance that one of the grandparents was born in Ireland or Northern Ireland? That would likely lead to a claim to Irish citizenship.

Nah, none of the grandparents are Irish, I'll have to have a look at that visa, thanks
