Dear all
I arrived in uk on 29/07/07 on work permit.
My visa was issued on 05/07/07 and expires on 05/07/12.
My baby girl was born in jan'11 in the uk.
I intend to put my application in for ILR early end of june or early july.

1) I wish to enquire what paper work I need for the application. Would appreciate a short check list if any one has got one, please.

2) Do I apply for my child's ILR as well. I have come to know for my child, I can apply for the passport directly without having to apply for ILR; is this correct, bearing in mind I had to travel outside of UK last year and I applied for her visa as my work permit dependent?

3) If I don't apply for my child's ILR based on the condition that I will have to apply for her passport directly, just for argument in case my application is rejected (worst case condition) would this make my child an over stayer or illegal?

1) Guidance for the from SET(O) available from UKBA is written well, and already contains the checklist.
Please do search the forum for further info, as this has already been discussed many times here.

2) The fact that your baby girl has got a WP dependant visa is irrelevant, as this does not affect her entitlement to register as a British citizen.
