Hello friends, please help me for applying my ILR. My case is NOT straight-forword.
In the beginning of 2011 I went to court to pay my fine for an underground issue. i didnt know it is a criminal conviction. later i came to know. now it is almost 1 and a half years. I am completing my 5th year in two months. i also came to know that a new law is announced that the spent conviction time is reduced from 5years to 1 year. the royal accent is finished but the law is coming into effect only from 2013. I only have visa till oct 2012.
I really do not know what to do. I approached for a solicitor and some say that i can apply because my case is spent according to the new law. some say that they may reject because the new law is not active.
Please help me in this regard... thank you all for reading my case...[/b]
