Hello Guys

I have been in the UK for 4yrs 8 months now working on Tier-1 visa , my wife and I are expecting our 1st baby in the UK hopefully next month (Sep 12). As I understand I can apply for baby Indian passport in UK which is fine.

What I would like to understand hows will baby UK visa work ? In new baby Indian passport there wont be any visa , shall I wait until my ILR turn which is Dec 12 ( in 4 months ) time ? or should I immediately apply for UK tier-1 dependent visa.

Kindly suggest which would suits me better , I have no immediate plan of going out of country so I can wait until my ILR term.

Of course applying for Tier-1 dependent would cost me more as Tier-1 dependent would be only until Dec 12.

Also is there any change the new born has chance to directly qualify for British passport ( though I have no love for it).

thanks

once you and your wife get ILR. Baby can directly go for citizenship.

So I should not apply for any visa for the baby in dec 12 ? would not that breach any rule / law and baby would be without any visa etc .
